Welcome to the Oakwood School Website. We are pleased to announce that 2009/2010 marks our 30th Anniversary! Oakwood School is a non-profit, non-sectarian New Jersey Private School for the Disabled. Our primary population is Learning and/or Language Impaired students in grades 6-12. However, students who are prevented from reaching their educational or social potential because of the following symptoms benefit from our program: school phobia, anxiety, poor socialization skills, victimization, poor self esteem, depression, and oppositional behaviors. Additionally, students with mild to moderate Autism and Asperger's Syndrome benefit from our small, nurturing, and highly structured program.
Oakwood School, located in Monmouth County, offers a less than 3-1 student to teacher ratio. We are certified by the State of New Jersey Department of Education and in the most recent monitoring process, our educational program received the highest possible commendation.
We are currently interviewing private placement and public school students for Spring and Fall 2009 enrollment. Come on in and browse our website to learn about Oakwood School and what we have to offer your child. If you have any questions or would like to visit us, I encourage you to contact me at 732-747-8746 or at our email address.
